The Trelawny Light Blues is a Masonic club based in Cornwall, UK, dedicated to supporting new and young Freemasons within the Province. As part of the broader "Light Blue Club" initiative under the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE), it aims to foster engagement, mentorship, and camaraderie among early-stage Masons—those who have not yet received Provincial or Grand Rank.

Purpose and Activities

All new Masons in Cornwall automatically become members of the Trelawny Light Blue’s (TLB’s). A non fee paying membership group for new Masons.

The club organises a variety of activities, including:

  • Learning & Development events, where Masonic Ritual is studied, and the real world applications of the Craft, further explored.

  • Lodge Visits: Coordinating group visits to different lodges across Cornwall to help members broaden their Masonic experience.

  • Social Events: Hosting informal gatherings such as dinners and community events to build friendships and encourage participation.

  • Ceremonial Support: Members actively participate in Masonic ceremonies. For instance, during a quadruple raising ceremony at the Lodge of the Chisel in Falmouth, Trelawny Light Blues members took on key roles, including delivering ritual segments and guiding candidates through the ceremony .

Currently, the TLB New and Young Masons Liaison (NYMC) Officer & Ambassador for the Province of Cornwall, is Brother McNicol-Jones, the Senior Warden of Phoenix Lodge. Phoenix Lodge members are actively encouraged to participate in TLB activities, including Learning and Development events, to deepens their experience and understanding of our ancient Craft.

The Trelawny Light Blues maintains an active online presence to engage with members and the public:
